I need to add to the above, to those of you in TX, NM, AZ & CA, we're very supportive of the new AZ law and the people of AZ. I hope the majority of the people of Wisconsin are too. Our County and State officials ceratainly are not.
I hope you don't judge Wisconsin according to what our government bodies stand for.....

I'm shocked that the Twin Cities don't have an on-premises club, but apparently they don't. You might have to go on a weekend getaway trip together in Wisconsin, where they DO have on-premises clubs.
Click on "Clubs" on the menu to the left of your screen, then click on the state of Wisconsin and scroll through the list to find an on-premises club in a Wisconsin location where you could enjoy a weekend getaway combined with a Saturday night visit to an on-premises club.

I used to hunt a lot when I was in my late teens and early twenties (living in Wisconsin at that time) but living in Florida... I don't have time for all that stuff.
Whitetail, squirrel, rabbit, duck, turkey, pheasant, grouse, all good memories. Somehow the thought of walking around in the woods here in Florida during an 85 degree day with an 8 pound rifle and pulling a 180 pound deer isn't as appealing as doing it in 28 degree weather in Wisconsin.
I still have most of my guns, and get to the range about once a month. I do miss hunting, and fishing (yes, even ice fishing!).

Hey Mr. Fun!
I've been wanting to post that, as I recall, Wisconsin allows (or used to) underage kids to drink in bars, as long as they were with their parents.
I actually think there is a lot of sense in that. Of course there are circumstances where it's not cool.
For me, we loved driving to Wisconsin to drink in bars at 18 "legally".

Yea annie , Thats what it was like when I was in wisconsin . I joined the ymca and did my training in doors . It workedout great . I just moved back and I think I keep a good level of conditioning with the indoor training . Sounds like the shore is alot like wisconsin , except the beach is very nice . You must have alot of headwinds to deal with . Im thawing out my toes and hopefully getting my body temp normal . Just got back from a ride .

I am not a lawyer but I believe that only two teams from the same conference can go to a BCS game so Wisconsin would not be eligible for the Rose Bowl. :-(

Perm, now being originally from Wisconsin, I take personal offense at your making fun of the Cheesehead Capital Laws. Most of those laws make damn good sense if you were living there even now! *LOL* My favorite Wisonsin law, however, is the law that states "it is illegal to kill your enemies". I guess I could take that to mean that my friends are conveniently left out of that protection, therefore, I can befriend my enemies THEN kill them and it wouldn't be illegal *S*
I do remember when you could not buy margarine (oleo = lard + yellow dye)
in Wisconsin. We would slip across the state line to the Michigan side to buy the cheap substitute instead of butter. To this day I can't eat margarine, and apples n cheddar cheese is a great snack ;-) I love blue laws *L*
